Details
Hornady's #6 Heavy Magnum ammunition features a 1-1/2 ounce nickel plated lead shot to help you bag a big Tom this year. The thick nickel-plating applied to this shot helps reduce shot deformation resulting in fewer fliers with a heavier, on target pattern. Additionally this load features Hornady's Versatite wad which eliminates the need for specialized turkey chokes. This wad functions best with either an improved cylinder or modified choke and helps to deliver a lethal blow to turkeys out to 50 yards!
Since Hornady's start in 1949, they have set the bar for exceptional quality and performance. With a philosophy of "Ten bullets through one hole" Hornady is an innovator in ammunition technology and is trusted by avid shooters everywhere.

Can't say what it will do on a turkey yet but, I have a 12 ga H&R Topper with a fixed choke Modified.Performance Value Quality
Shot 2 shots of this #5 shot at 26 yrds....I was impressed...51 pellets in the kill zone from the base of the neck to the top of the head. To say the least...I was amazed. Never figured a fixed choke shotgun would put that many in at that range.
Good round so far...But "lucky gunner"?...bag a jake?....I hope you meant a TOM....? (Posted on 3/19/12)
