These unique "Hybred" sabot slugs from Lightfield are purpose-built for precise deer hunting with your favorite rifled-barrel shotgun! Each shell is made with a reliably igniting primer fitted to a high-brass head which hugs a moisture resistant, 2-3/4 inch length hull. The Hybred EXP slug weighs in at 1-1/4 ounces and is shaped like an hour glass with the longer forward half possessing a wide, shallow cavity. The rear of the slug is permanently attached to a multi-flanged wad which is designed to cushion recoil, protect the slug from premature deformation, and provide stability in flight by acting as a tail-boom.

Upon impact, the frontal portion of the slug greatly expands in diameter and dumps all of its energy in a game animal's vital organs. This not only results in a effective drop but makes over-penetration highly unlikely for safer shooting and pelt preservation. Lightfield got their start in the 1970s designing munitions for the United States Marine Corps. They pride themselves on being slug gun experts and do well to design their shells for weight retention, repeatable muzzle velocity, and consistent rotation which is made possible by their own proprietary powder blends.
