Q: will hornet 22 rifle bullet work on a remington 22 autoloading rifle model 16

Posted On: 5/14/14 By: andy

A: Hello Andy, Unfortunately, the 35gr. V-Max rounds by Hornady in .22 Hornet will not work in a Remington Model 16 rifle. The only ammo that will function in that rifle is .22 Remington Automatic.

great round for use in hunting but a little pricey for target shooting. Review by Country

These rounds are superb for hunting but a little pricey for target shooting.
Mostly I bought these because they are available and 22 hornet rounds are difficult to find in stock. Lucky gunner always has what they list in stock.
I love shooting my M4 hornet which was originally an air corps survival rifle which was remounted in a small wood rifle stock somewhere back in the post WWII era and has become a family heirloom passed from my uncle to my dad then to me and will go to my grandson someday. It was originally made in the 1930's and is sweet to shoot even today.
I am thankful to lucky gunner for having these in stock and hope one day they will carry a cheaper round for target shooters like myself.
I would recommend these to others and will purchase them again myself when I run out of current stock. (Posted on 6/29/14)

I've been hunting Deer in the Texas Hill Country for years using a 22 Hornet and I can't believe how these little bullets do the damage they do. With the polymer tip these rounds always stop the deer in their tracks. Not the normal deer rounds but when you are with in 100 yrds these rounds are fast and true to kill a deer and 300-400 yrds for the smaller varmints. (Posted on 6/16/14)
