This .22 Hornet ammunition from Hornady delivers strong accuracy and deadly terminal performance for small game hunting.

Each cartridge in this box of 50 fires a 45 grain soft point bullet at a muzzle velocity of 2,665 feet per second. At this high velocity, the exposed lead tip of the projectile quickly expands, or "mushrooms," outward into a high diameter shape that dumps a large amount of energy into the animal instead of passing through as a full metal jacket bullet would.

Hornady is one of the leading manufacturers of hunting and defensive ammunition. The company started out in the 1940s as a bullet manufacturer but successfully broadened its focus to loaded ammo several decades. Their ammo is made in Grand Island, Nebraska and uses non-corrosive Boxer primers and brass cases.
