This .223 Remington ammunition from Tula is a good choice for high volume target shooting. These rounds are considerably less expensive due to their use of low-cost steel cases. While they are not reloadable, steel cases do offer reliable performance thanks to their friction-reducing polymer coatings.

Each cartridge in this box of 100 fires a 62 grain bimetal jacketed bullet at a muzzle velocity of 3,025 feet per second. Expect external ballistics similar to M855 mil-spec ball ammo. Bimetal jacketed bullets have some steel content and may not be suitable for all indoor ranges; otherwise, they perform similarly to copper or gilding metal jacketed projectiles.

Tula, Russia has been a center of ammunition production for centuries starting under the Russian Empire. The Tula Cartridge Works is one of the largest ammo producers in the world. Their products use non-corrosive Berdan or Boxer primers.
