Invented in 1955 for hunting varmints, the 243 Winchester is a popular hunting cartridge, and with the proper ammunition can be used for larger game like deer and boar. Whether you are looking for an accurate, high powered range round or a hunting round with very manageable recoil, the 243 Winchester is the cartridge for you.

Hornady was founded in 1949 due to a shortage of accurate and dependable ammo. With the philosophy of "Ten bullets through one hole," Hornady aims to deliver ammunition that is extremely consistent and reliable. All of their ammo is loaded at their Grand Island, Nebraska manufacturing facility.

With these Hornady Superformance rounds you have the velocity and terminal performance needed for medium game hunting applications. Each round features an 80 grain GMX projectile that is lead-free. These GMX bullets offer consistent expansion and achieve a muzzle velocity of 3,425 feet per second. Hornady loaded these bullets into boxer primed brass cases that are re-loadable. Pick up a box or two of these Superformance rounds and get out in the field soon!
