New in 2011 is Remington's latest introduction featuring Nickel plated UMC pistol ammunition. Nickel Plated casings are typically only found in high-end defense ammunition as it results in smoother feeding and cycling of a weapon. Now, nickel-plated cases are economically available from Remington for range use. This line of ammo also features Kleanbore® primers resulting in a clean reliable burn time after time.

Manufactured by the legendary Remington Arms Company, this product is brand new, nickel-plated brass-cased, boxer-primed, non-corrosive, and reloadable. It is a staple range and target practice ammunition used by many law enforcement agencies and avid shooters.

In 1816 Eliphalet Remington produced his own rifle in his smithing shop which was superior to commercially available rifles of the day. Ever since then, Remington has been leading the charge in technological innovation bringing superior products to the market.

Note: Remington's bullet type designation "metal case" is essentially the equivalent of full metal jacket.

Q: There seems to be some confusion on your description of the bullet type on this ammo. For clarification here is my question: "Is the bullet used in this .38 ammo lead wrapped in a metal jacket AND is there nothing else but lead inside...i.e., no steel core."

Posted On: 4/3/12 By: Charles Gilliam

A: The only metals used in the construction of this bullet are copper and lead. The core is lead and the jacket is a copper alloy. There is no steel in the projectile, or the case, for that matter.

Customer Reviews

Great buy for mid weight performance! Review by LaPua
Fast ship and great service. Fired ammo from a 4” model 10 on an indoor range. Clean firing ammo and low flash in low light conditions. Extracted well, great choice for many applications. (Posted on 9/18/12)
Good ammo. Relatively clean. No FTF in 150 rounds. Buy in bulk and save money per round and on shipping. Whenever I buy bulk, I buy some 50 round boxes I'm interested in trying and the increase in freight is minimal. Good service BTW. (Posted on 5/14/12)
