Using firearms for self-defense in populated, confined areas can pose elevated risks for unintended consequences, as the possibility of overpenetration and ricochets striking bystanders increases significantly. Corbon's Glaser Safety Slug is designed for safe but effective personal defense in apartment buildings and other urban terrains.
Each round of .38 Super ammo in this pack of 6 fires an 80 grain projectile at a muzzle velocity of 1,650 feet per second. This is a relatively light projectile fired at a high velocity to facilitate rapid expansion. The bullet itself is a polymer tipped copper shell filled with #12 lead shot. The jacket and shot fragment quickly and dump all of their energy in an assailant; when contacting a hard surface on a missed shot, the projectile is intended to disintegrate harmlessly instead of ricocheting.
Glaser Safety Slugs are loaded in Sturgis, South Dakota using non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases. Corbon is well known for producing quality ammo designed for effective self-defense, hunting, and competition.
