Video Transcript:
American Eagle Ammo is one of the best known labels from the Federal Ammo Company, which in turn, is part of the ATK family of companies, along with CCI, Blazer, and Sphere. American Eagle has a well-deserved reputation for being reliable in consistent range ammo that comes at an affordable price.
For this review, we looked at American Eagle 180 grain 40 Smith & Wesson. This one is a little different from the usual American Eagle because it comes packed in this nice compact box. There's no ammo tray or any other unused space inside the box, so it's a great way to pack a lot of rounds in a small space. It might be ideal for taking along to a shooting match or a handgun class.
Like most American Eagle ammo this 40 Smith & Wesson load comes with a reloadable brass case in a non-corrosive primer. The 180 grain bullets is a lead core, copper full metal jacket with a flat nose. As expected, the ammo gave us no problem in any of our six test guns and reliability was consistent.
The recoil impulse was average for a 40 Smith & Wesson with not too much snap, but enough power to cycle all of our pistols. We took a look at accuracy with a quick benchrest test from 15 yards using a SIG-P226, results were outstanding, with just one ragged hole just a hair above our point of aim. American Eagle and .40 Smith & Wesson, is top shelf range and training ammo. It is one of the best values on the market today.

First rounds thru my new Glock 23 Gen 4. Not one problem. These rounds shoot good and clean. All I use for both my Glock 23 and Ruger 9MM are American Eagle. Price here is the best I've found online and shipping was as fast as I've seen yet. Have recomended Lucky Gunner to my son and friends. Ran this thru my XD Subcompact without a single Failure-to-Feed, Failure-to-Fire, or Failure-to-Eject. I love the small, stacked boxes because I can get more in my dry box for storage. (Posted on 4/11/12)Performance Value Quality - Great product for price. Review by Samuel

This ammo is a great buy if you're looking to buy in bulk. This type comes in little boxes and no tray and they are neatly set in the box not thrown in there which was a plus. I used to go to our nearest outdoor store and get ammo there but after ordering in bulk on here I saved at least $100 and I got the same quality ammo. Shipping might be a little pricey but its worth it for the quick delivery. A friend referred me to this site and now I am hooked on buying more ammo on here in the near future. 2nd time to buy 1000 rounds. Performance has been flawless and shoots clean. Shot 400 rounds yesterday thru a Springfield XD40, and 2 Ruger SR40's with no FTE's or FTF's. Highly recommend this ammo. LG shipped my order a lot faster than I expected and I'm happy with the price. (Posted on 4/6/12)Performance Value Quality - Fantastic deal of great range ammo Review by MATTHEW

This is the first ammo I ran through my new .40 P229 Elite Dark. No a single feed/failure to fire or extract issue in over 270 rounds so far. Perfect shipment and quick delivery time. I don't care about plastic inserts in ammo boxes. I'm just loading them into magazines or a big ammo can anyways. The less $ they spend on packaging the better. Highly recommend this vendor and product.Performance Value Quality
