Winchester's Train & Defend series makes it easy to find both premium self-defense "Defend" ammo and inexpensive range "Train" loads. This .40 S&W version of the Train & Defend line belongs to the "Train" side of the equation and fires a 180 grain full metal jacket bullet at a muzzle velocity of about 925 feet per second, producing similar in-flight ballistics to its "Defend" counterpart without the expensive hollow point bullet.
