Each cartridge is fully functional and safe to fire.

High Precision Range (HPR) Ammunition is a company in Arizona that uses a unique process of competitive shooting staff demands getting answered by an in-house aeronautical engineer. The result is high quality, hand inspected ammo that is tailored to a specific purpose. HPR uses nothing but the best components during assembly which includes non-corrosive Boxer primers, reloadable brass casings, a proprietary HyperClean powder which all but eliminates harmful chemical residue, and Hornady XTP bullets.

XTP stands for eXtreme Terminal Performance and the quality of workmanship put into these bullets lives up to the name. The bullet's copper jacket varies in density being thicker at the base and thinner at the head where it is serrated into symmetrical sections for excellent expansion on impact. This expansion produces threat-stopping wound channels while the thicker base jacket and uniform density of the lead core preserve momentum needed for effective penetration.

180 grains is a medium weight for this caliber and provides the greatest balance of felt recoil and effectiveness on target. Each round leaves the muzzle at 960 feet-per-second carrying 368 foot-pounds of energy. HPR's precise powder formula behind the expertly crafted XTP bullet retains the energy very well with a rating of 347 foot-pounds of energy at 50 yards.
