New in 2011 is Remington's latest introduction featuring Nickel plated UMC pistol ammunition. Nickel Plated casings are typically only found in high-end defense ammunition as it results in smoother feeding and cycling of a weapon. Now, nickel-plated cases are economically available from Remington for range use. This line of ammo also features Kleanbore® primers resulting in a clean reliable burn time after time.
Manufactured by the legendary Remington Arms Company, this product is brand new, nickel-plated brass-cased, boxer-primed, non-corrosive, and reloadable. It is a staple range and target practice ammunition used by many law enforcement agencies and avid shooters.

Running ammo through my FN FNX 40. Absolutely no failures in 500 rounds. Nickle plated casings on practice priced ammo for smoother feeding usually found on more expensive ammo. Can't get much better than that if you ask me. Runs clean too. After 300 rounds at the range the barrel was clean in 3 patches! This will be the only practice ammo I use as long as I can get it. Please remember folks....UMC has nothing to do with the "Metal Clad" bullet (read FMJ). It stands for Union metallic Co. owned by Remington. Not the cheapest ammo but I was very supprised that it shot considerably better than some expensive brass rounds I had recently purchased. My Sig 2340 always has problems getting good groupings but I was very happy and supprised at the tight groupings I got. Really great ammo for the price. This ammunition works very well in an FNH FNX-40. The Reminton UMC nickel plated feeds very well, very accurate with my FNX-40 and the best price I could find from local and websites offering the 40 S&W 180 gr. ammunition. I will say I could not find the same ammo at Wal-Mart in my local area as referenced by the other reviewer, thus I would question if the ammo is the same.
