Black Hills Ammunition loads their quintessential 45 ACP training ammunition for any kind of .45 cal firearm. Its 230 grain bullet and 850 fps muzzle velocity are pretty much spot on in terms of what a classic M1911 pistol is designed for, but this ammo is just as good for more modern semi-automatic pistols as well. If you’re a lucky duck who happens to own a Thompson, then you’ll most certainly want a few boxes of this 45 Auto ammo! (You gotta take that treasure out of its violin case once in a while, after all.)

New shooters take note that this round’s FMJ is best utilized for target practice. The bullet’s simple round nose profile, gilding metal jacket and solid lead core deliver fine accuracy but no terminal expansion. This round’s bullet contains no steel and is not magnetic. Black Hills loads their ammo with excellent brass cases, Boxer primers, and proprietary propellant blends. This ammo will neither corrode your firearm nor deprive you of worthy handloading components.

Black Hills is located in Rapid City, South Dakota. Their clients include all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, more than two dozen firearm manufacturers including Browning, Colt, Kimber and Smith & Wesson, and plenty of regular folks who appreciate great quality.
