This 6.5mm Creedmoor ammunition from Federal's American Eagle series is designed for high precision target shooting. This ammo is reasonably priced and delivers excellent accuracy even at extended ranges.

Each cartridge in this case of 200 propels a 140 grain open tipped match (OTM) bullet to a muzzle velocity of 2,700 feet per second. Open-tipped match bullets, while sometimes referred to as hollow points, are designed for optimal accuracy rather than terminal performance; they do not expand as readily as dedicated hunting rounds.

These cartridges are loaded at Federal's headquarters and main production facility in Anoka, Minnesota. They use non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases. Federal Premium Ammunition is part of the Vista Outdoor group of shooting-related companies, many of which once operated under the Alliant Techsystems and ATK brands.
