Stock up in bulk on these quality 7.62x54r soft points from Wolf Performance Ammunition for a good supply for zeroing and hunting for many seasons to come. While military surplus "spam can" ammo may fill the role for cheap plinking and practice ammunition, it is not ideal for responsible and effective hunting due to the full metal jacket (FMJ) rounds high probability of penetration. Conversely, these soft point rounds possess a copper jacket and exposed soft lead tip which causes the bullets to expand after impact. As the round travels through flesh, its jacket prevents excessive fragmentation while a wide mushrooming head creates a wide wound channel in large game.

The bullets, some of the heaviest in this caliber, weigh in at 203 grains and will leave the muzzle of your Mosin or PSL at around 2380 feet-per-second. High muzzle velocity and heavy weight result in in the deep penetration needed to get past the thick hide and bone of elk, bear, deer, and large hogs while also attributing to aforementioned expansion. These rounds are constructed from non-reloadable steel casings and Berdan primers which keep Military Classic costs low for shooters all around.

Wolf Performance Ammunition gets its ammo from Tula, Russia. The Tula plant has been responsible for the mainstay of Russian firearms and ammunition production for centuries. Their low cost, achieved through years of experience in efficient production, and consistency in specification has earned them a reputation for reliable classic ammunition with innovations to suit an ever-changing U.S. demand.
