I have used these rounds before i harvested two whitetails and one elk all were clean kills and the recovered bulletts had perfomed great!! I would even consider bringing my mauser with these rounds on a brown bear hunt.. If the 30 06 can do it than i have ni doubt a 8mm mauser can do it and maybe even a bit better.. Great rounds!! This is the only 8mm ammo I have found that is not underpowered; it leaves the muzzle at 2,591 fps with 2,923 ft/lbs of energy, and it's a 196 grain bullet. That's 26 grains heavier than Remington, Federal, and Winchester 8mm, while still being at least 230 fps faster, and more than 800 ft/lbs more energy than our underpowered American loads. Nosler custom and Norma make more competitive loads, but they also are a little underpowered and WAY overpriced. This is the best deal on 8mm you'll find. These rounds have fired flawlessly, and are more accurate than all others I have used. The extra recoil is noticeable, and the extra velocity is even more noticeable. (Posted on 12/30/10)
