PolyCase’s Inceptor ARX ammunition uses unique, lead-free projectiles in order to yield threat-dropping effect without relying on expansion. As such, these 9mm Luger loads from the Preferred Defense brand feature triple-fluted projectiles that are made from a mixture of epoxy resin and powdered copper. With a weight of only 65 grains, these bullets are quite light for the caliber and exhibit high muzzle velocities even from short-barreled carry guns. This high speed feeds the projectile’s wounding capacity which depends on the energy transferred outwardly by the its angled flutes.

After entering a target, the Inceptor ARX bullet will create a large wound cavity and deliver fight-stopping energy to vital organs before breaking up into fragments that have a low chance of exiting the body. This reduces the chance for collateral damage or lethal ricochets. Other than their projectiles, these 9x19mm cartridges utilize conventional components including non-corrosive Boxer primers installed at the bases of reloadable brass casings.
