Q: Can 9mm Makarov (9x18mm) be used in a Glock 34? Thank you. Ben

Posted On: 3/5/13 By: ben swartzman

A: The 9x18 round is slightly shorter than the popular 9x19mm round your Glock 34 is cambered for. While it is physically possible to shoot the 9x18 or 9x17 (380ACP) in a 9x19, it is strongly advised against as this renders the gun to function under conditions that is was not designed for. Most likely a malfunction would result and cause an unsafe condition for the shooter and others nearby. There would be no overal benefit as accuracy would also be reduced. For this, and other 9mm Glocks, our "9mm ammo" selection will provide the ammo you are needing.

All I can say is they are very very accurate shot out of my P64 Makarov. I would go as far as saying after the critical defense 9X18's made by Hornady that your company also sells these I would not be afraid to carry with me because of the accuracy. Who would have thought you could this kind of accuracy for a super great price. (Posted on 6/19/14)
Not fancy but your Makarov will happily eat it Review by Jim

Fairly generic steel-cased Russian FMJ ammo. You're not paying for fancy packaging or gleaming brass, and this stuff is pretty dirty. That said, the Makarov is to pistols as the AK is to rifles, so it will reliably eat the cheap stuff all day long. This is a fine option as long as you're not paying a lot for it. (Posted on 5/9/14)
good product, moderate price, hard primers Review by DREW

All in all i'm satisfied with my order, the price is however moderate considering demand and could always be better. Suffered one failure to fire on a cartridge. I attribute this to silver bear always having hard primers. (Posted on 3/27/14)
