Shooting a box of 158 gr. SJHP cartridges in my snub-nose revolvers last week. Cartridge # 36 out of a box of 50 just "popped" in my Colt SF-VI. A quick inspection showed the bullet lodged in the barrel, about a half inch from the forcing cone. Label inside the box shows: 38SPL.HP.19-MZ-3 18-03-10 *LSM*. Up until then, I was reasonably pleased with the performance of this ammo out of several revolvers. Now one of my prized handguns is tied up in a gunsmith's shop waiting to have the bullet extracted. Received product same week that I placed order. Fired 25 rounds last weekend striking the bottom of 12 oz. soda cans with every shot at 20 steps. Have hinted to my wife that I would like 10 boxes of this ammo for my birtthday next month. (Posted on 10/30/12)Performance Value Quality - an excellent buy Review by dave ny

5-2012 THIS IS VERY GOOD QUALITY AMMO AND IS USED ALL OVER S. AMERICA AND ELSEWHERE. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN THIS HEAVIER WEIGHT, I.E. 158 GRAINSPerformance Value Quality
IN A SEMI JACKETED HOLLOWPOINT. WHEN USING AN ULTRALIGHT GUN AS MINE, THE S & W 360 PD, (SCANDIUM AND TITANIUM-12 OUNCES) A SHOOTER CAN NOT USE 38+P'S OR FULL .357 LOADS.
IT MUST BE A 38 SPECIAL, AND A HEAVIER BULLET IS RECOMMENDED. MANY YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS WITH THE TREASURY DEPT., THE STANDARD LOAD, (FBI ALSO) WAS 158 GRAIN LEAD HOLLOWPOINT IN 3" 357'S. MOREOVER, IT'S 50 ROUNDS. FOR "AIRLIGHT" SMITHS OR TAURUS'S THIS IS A GREAT ROUND. (Posted on 5/9/12) - not bad Review by wayne
