Q: What is the difference betwee 45 ACP and 45 GAP? Can the 45 GAP be used in the XD45 w/4" barrel?

A: The 45 GAP is a shorter-in-length version of the 45ACP designed to perform as the original 45ACP has. You will want to verify your pistols caliber via the markings on the barrel or slide. Almost all 45 GAP pistols are manufactured by Glock, where the letter "G" comes from in the caliber name. Unfortunately neither of the two rounds may be fired in place of the other. The shorter round was designed to be used in smaller compact pistols.
