This 5.56x45 XM855 ammo is manufactured at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant (LCAAP) which is the producer of small arms ammunition for the U.S. military. This ammo is loose packed in a good condition used 50 Cal ammo can which is great for long-term storage as well as carrying your ammo to and from the range.

This ammunition is the hard to find XM855 green tip ammo which contains a steel tip inside of the bullet's copper jacket. This ammo comes off of the same line that supplies our military and as such it still shows the annealing on the neck of the case. Annealing is the heating process performed on all cases as they are drawn to make it less brittle so that it will not crack. All commercial ammo by major manufacturers also goes through this process and then the annealing which is solely affects cosmetic appearances is cleaned off. The military inspection process however requires that the annealing be left on the case necks so that they know that this critical step has been performed.

Each round is brass-cased, boxer-primed, non-corrosive, and reloadable. It is both economical and precision manufactured in the United States by an established U.S. cartridge producer. These cartridges are extremely reliable and are tested to work properly between -40 to +125 degrees Fahrenheit.

The XM855 bullets sport a boat-tailed design for improved long-range accuracy and ballistics performance. These rounds feature a water resistant lacquer applied to seal the primer and case mouth.
