Here is what this 12 Gauge ammo by BioAmmo will do: kill pheasants. But here is what it will not do: pollute the environment with plastic!

BioAmmo’s shotgun shells owe their low environmental impact to their unique biopolymer tubes and wads. Although strong like plastic, biopolymer is completely edible to bacteria and other microorganisms that live on top of the soil and beneath the water. The biopolymer wad will degrade in about 24 months wherever it comes to rest, and the hull is the perfect thing to stick into your compost heap. (BioAmmo does not recommend using their hulls for reloading.)

BioAmmo packs their biopolymer hull with 1-1/4 ounces of #5 lead shot, which is awesome for pheasant hunting but also well equipped to take down a tom. Their shot is hard enough to resist deformation, and it patterns especially efficiently after the wad extends multiple petals to detach neatly from the column. This shell also works to reduce felt recoil courtesy of the compression zone in its wad’s base.

BioAmmo shotshells can be stored in normal conditions for at least five years.
