This shell is loaded with one ounce of #9 steel shot. Its 1,329 fps velocity at 8.2 feet gives the tiny lightweight shot pellets the energy they need to reliably home in on and shatter clays.

But its shot isn’t the most interesting thing about a BioAmmo shotshell. This ammo’s hulls and wads are made of BioAmmo’s patented vegetable biopolymer material. It is a sturdy material, but it is also fully bio-compostable. Let the non-plastic components fall wherever they may and microorganisms will break them down into harmless CO2, water and mineral salts over the course of about 24 months. Even this ammo’s alloy heads will gradually weather away, and you can speed up the hulls’ decomposition process by throwing them into your compost heap!

This is high-quality cutting-edge Spanish-made eco-friendly trap and sporting clays ammo, loaded with clean-burning powder and non-corrosive primers. BioAmmo advises against reloading their compostable hulls.

BioAmmo shotshells can be stored in normal conditions for at least five years.
