The secret to this 12 Gauge shell’s awe-inspiring performance is its #4 shot pellets, which are made of a special blend of tungsten, iron, nickel, and one or two other metals. This proprietary, non-toxic alloy is softer than steel to prevent damage to a shotgun’s barrel and choke, but also significantly denser than lead at 12 g/cc. Such dense pellets resist getting brushed aside by crosswinds and also retain massive energy to kill ducks fast and humanely.
