This cartrdige’s 38 grain bullet is just a teensy tiny bit lighter than average – and that weight reduction ensures its muzzle velocity will be approximately 1,280 fps out of a rifle’s barrel. The CPHP’s copper plating makes it look nice. More importantly, copper puts a stop to fast lead fouling of the bore. The CPHP is additionally equipped with the nose cavity which it needs to expand in diameter. That only makes this round more lethal to small game.
