For every problem, there is a solution. If you’re losing your hair, you buy a hat. If your daughter wants to date a pool shark named “Paterson Fats,” you send her to convent school in Ukraine. And if you’ve got a little issue involving squirrels busting up your backyard, you order a case of 22 LR ammo by Aguila.

This Mexico-made cartridge has a 38 grain copper plated hollow point projectile. The bullet’s metal coating keeps the lead in its core off of your bore where it doesn’t belong, helping you to make accurate shots long after you’ve last cleaned your weapon. When the bullet enters a soft target, such as a squirrel or other bothersome creature, it expands to let said creature know it isn’t welcome.

This round gives its bullet a 1,280 fps muzzle velocity. Its velocity doesn’t dip below the speed of sound until yard 50, but even at the 100 yard mark it’s moving over 1,000 fps. You’ll enjoy a nice, flat trajectory as the result, with the kind of accuracy that makes varmint hunting possible and target practice rewarding.

Aguila manufacturers their non-corrosive rimfire primers according to their own Aguila Prime technology, which is engineered according to an Olympian’s standards. These rounds’ straight brass casings promote reliable feeding and extraction through any kind of 22 you might have kicking around in your sock drawer.
