Hello gun fans! Before we say anything about this 22 Win Auto cartridge, first we’d like to say what it’s not. It’s not a 22 LR. It’s not a 22 WMR, 22 Short, 22 Hornet, or 22-250. No, this is the rare and elusive 22 Winchester Automatic, a cartridge meant exclusively for the Winchester Model 1903 semi-automatic rifle. If you try to load this ammo into any firearm that isn’t an M1903, it will either fail to fire or explode in the chamber, neither of which you want!

This very specific rimfire ammunition is loaded by Aguila, a rimfire specialist whose primers are developed to meet the lofty standards of Olympic-level athletes. (The shooters, not the gymnasts.) Once Aguila Prime tech has seen to the ignition of its clean burning propellant, this round launches a 45 grain lead flat nose projectile out of the muzzle at 1,030 fps. This smooth cycling round’s LFN bullet is just the thing for target practice, although its ability to inflict decent energy at the moment of impact and subsequently deform within soft tissue also makes it a suitable varmint hunting companion.
