This 22 WMR round, by Speer, features a tiny version of the Gold Dot self defense round that so many people have come to trust, and is designed for short barrel pistols and micro-revolvers. It has a jacketed hollow point projectile with a muzzle velocity of 1,050 feet per second, and averages 13 inches of penetration in bare ballistic gel. They have excellent performance and expansion in bare ballistics gel, but tend to have trouble expanding after passing through intermediate barriers; but for a 22 WMR round, will still be highly effective regardless. These rounds can also be used very effectively as a varmint hunting round, and will instantly drop anything you would normally hunt with a 22 WMR.
These rounds are rim-fire primed, nickel-plated brass cased, and noncorrosive.
