Have you or a loved one recently run out of 223 Rem ammunition? Our condolences. That is literally the worst thing that can happen to anyone. Fortunately it is also an easy situation to fix, because we’ve got all these lovely 27-pound cases of 223 ammo by Armscor sitting in our warehouse.

This ammo was made in the Philippines by a company that’s been around for over 100 years. Sure, Armscor may have gotten their start selling hats and bicycles, but today they serve as their nation’s largest firearm and ammo manufacturer!

This cartridge’s features are average far as 223 ammo goes. That’s not to say it’s subpar – just that its 55 grain projectile and 3,215 fps muzzle velocity are extremely common qualities for a 223 round to have. The bullet is an FMJ, which is the gold standard for target shooting thanks to its economical design. That’s a solid lead core with a copper-alloy jacket, the latter of which is belted by a cannelure to conserve the bullet’s factory seating depth. The FMJ won’t broaden in diameter upon striking a soft medium. Its terminal ballistics aren’t suitable for taking medium game, but it must be noted that this is the same type of projectile any nation’s military would use for combat.

Nonmagnetic? Noncorrosive Boxer primers? Reloadable brass cases? Clean-burning propellant? Check, check, check and check, and Armscor’s 223 ought to work splendidly in all 5.56x45 firearms as well.
