Keep your AR-15 mags filled with Tula ammunition for plenty of inexpensive training at the range. This .223 Remington ammo comes in a bulk priced case of 1,000 and works well in a wide variety of .223 Rem and 5.56 NATO rifles.
Each cartridge in this bulk priced case of 1,000 fires a 62 grain hollow point bullet. Although it is of a relatively simple design, the hollow point projectile can be used in a defensive or hunting role if necessary as it will produce much more fragmentation than a full metal jacket.
This ammunition is loaded in Russia using non corrosive Berdan primers and non reloadable steel cases. The use of steel cases provides considerable cost savings. While not reloadable, steel casings are durable and provide good cycling reliability for training as they are polymer coated to reduce friction; they have a long history of successful military use.
