Up until now, shooters who frequent indoor ranges that ban magnetic bullets haven’t been able to take advantage of Tula’s accessibly priced ammunition. Tula has finally fixed that problem with this 223 Rem cartridge!

This round features a 62 grain FMJ bullet. Instead of a bimetal jacket with a steel interior layer, its jacket is made of 100 percent brass. Brass is still an economical metal with which to make a jacket, and strong enough to prevent a bullet from deforming under the blistering pressure of ignition. Most importantly, brass is completely non-magnetic and doesn’t pose nearly the same risk of creating sparks at indoor ranges!

Steel casings are the reason this round will attract a magnet as a whole, and also why it may cause more carbon fouling of the action. Steel’s relative lack of elasticity is also why this round is non-reloadable. Still, if you don’t handload that’s hardly a sacrifice, and Tula’s special polymer treatment helps their rounds cycle smoothly through a semi-auto without leaving behind more residue as the result. Unlike some mil-surp rounds, this round’s Berdan primer is non-corrosive and won’t produce chemicals that would put your rifle in greater jeopardy of rusting.
