Some folks claim the 243 Win is just a touch too small for deer hunting. And we respect their opinion, because who knows – they might shop for ammo here and we wouldn’t want to offend them. But if you’ve already got the trophies it takes to prove the 243’s naysayers wrong, then you’ll love hunting with Sierra’s GameChanger line of ammunition!

This cartridge has a great hunting bullet: the 90 grain Tipped GameKing (TGK; aka GameChanger). It’s a double dip as far as performance goes. First, it offers the laser-flat trajectory of the MatchKing, with a 0.390 G1 ballistic coefficient that conveys impact of at least 1,000 ft lbs of energy up until 400 yards. Second, the TGK is armed with a polymer tip that delivers dee-sastrous terminal performance. As the TGK’s transparent polymer tip plunges deep into its alloyed lead core, it thrusts the bullet’s tough gilding metal jacket outward in a display of rapid – and deadly – expansion.

GameChanger ammunition is high quality, with freshly minted brass cases and primers that are so sensitive they’ll cry if you forget to call them on their birthday. A clean-burning charge of propellant measured to deliver an unvarying muzzle velocity of 3,200 fps is the finishing touch on the cartridge you need to prove the 243’s viability for taking deer.
