300 Blackout with and without Silencer
The Sellier & Bellot shoots excellent in my 308 Sig, but in 300 blackout subsonic 200gr it will not cycle properly, it ejects the spent case but does not cycle far enough to load the next round. This is on a 16" barrel either with silencer or without it has the same problem. The 300Blk Winchester 200gr subsonic works perfectly. Additionally with the S&B I notice a lot of unburned powder in the barrel after the session. I bought 500 rounds of this stuff, I will try a different recoil spring and see if that solves it.
Over 10,000 rounds and still have yet to experience an FTF of any kind. A pretty good record for any ammo. A little pricy but then what isn't these days. It's all apparently going to the IRS. Quiet, accurate and clean. Love it.
Best when suppressed (I guess?)
S&B is usually my go to ammo, so I was surprised when I had more failure to eject and failure to feeds than I've EVER experienced with any firearm or ammo before. For the record, I was running this is an 8.5 inch Banshee, unsuppressed. The action felt spongy, so I bet it was a function of not enough gas to cycle the action, and I further bet this would be solved if I threw a can on it. Hopefully one day I can test this theory. Ammo was still very accurate when it went bang.
