When the supple elastomer compresses during penetration, it forces rapid outward expansion that deals significant damage to surrounding soft tissues. (Its elastomer-filled nose cavity also makes the MonoFlex safe as can be for lever actions.)
The MonoFlex’s all-copper composition makes it unusually rugged. The bullet loses no more than 5% of its weight during penetration as the result, which all but guarantees a deep and deadly wound channel. A monolithic bullet also eliminates ugly lead fouling!
