This 40 S&W cartridge features a 180 grain bullet that is closely modeled after the manufacturer’s now discontinued Black Talon projectile, minus the black Lubalox coating that gave the original its name. The bullet showcases Winchester’s Supreme eXpansion Technology (SXT), which enables it to erect six wide, strong petals during penetration to promote optimal energy transferral and wound channel width, while simultaneously lessening the occurrence of overpenetration. The bullet further amplifies its stopping power by effectively retaining the weight it requires to penetrate to the depths where vital organs lie.

This round’s accurate and exceedingly deadly bullet’s performance is complimented thoroughly by its premium supporting components. Winchester’s brass shell casing is coated with nickel to reduce metal-on-metal friction during feeding and extraction, helping a semi-automatic to avoid a jam that would put its handler in greater jeopardy. Nickel’s added benefit is that it prevents performance compromising corrosion. This round’s non-corrosive Boxer primer will stay potent in a magazine for ages, and its propellant is loaded consistently to deliver predictable results with every shot.

This ammo is designed specifically for law enforcement, and it typically only becomes available to the civilian market when law enforcement agencies trade it in for new rounds. A great deal on exceptionally effective self-defense ammo!
