The RA9B is topped with a 147 grain bonded jacketed hollow-point (JHP) projectile. The heavy weight is common to the 9x19mm caliber and produces smooth recoil alongside deep penetration with heavy momentum. This performance is enhanced by the bonded construction which binds the bullet's copper jacket to its lead core in order to prevent separation and premature fragmentation. As a result, these rounds can be expected to reach deep into a target's vital zones and create large, threat-dropping wound cavities thanks to massive expansion. Bonded rounds are less likely to be deflected by auto-glass and maintain their capacity for expansion after passing through intermediate barriers.
