This cleaning kit is specifically designed for cleaning AR-15s chambered in .223 or 5.56NATO. It features Ultra-Klenz which will remove powder and copper fouling and loosen lead deposits. Once the rifle is clean, the Ultra-Lube gun oil can be applied for lubrication and corrosion protection.

The included cleaning accessories are perfect for maintaining the AR-15 bore and barrel. The 3-piece cleaning rod pairs with the slotted cleaning tip, bronze bore brush, and bore mop. A special bronze and steel chamber brush attaches directly to the handle segment of the rod and is designed to clean the chamber and locking-lug area of an AR-15.

the rods are steel they attract a magnet , not a big deal it isn't my regular cleaning rod it is my range cleaning rod.
the up side is these might be the only lube/solvent bottles that I have carted around for more than a year that have yet to leak and make a mess .
the bottles have an eye dropper with a locking ring style top and make up over half the cost of the kit if you buy them individually.
we arrived at day 2 of a shoot on a recent hot steamy August day; my son pulled his 22 rifle out of the case at the line and it immediately condensates on the cool gun that came from the A/C in the house overnight to the truck A/C then out of the case the scope fogged up , the metal was all damp with condensation and worst it wouldn't eject fired rounds , this is a bolt gun not extracting rounds , I pulled the bolt and ran a solvent patch and a dry patch and we were back in business and it shot great for hundreds more rounds that day. that is the type of thing I keep a kit like this in my range bag for , no need to mess up a day of shooting when there is a 5 minute fix that fits in a pocket on a range bag. it is 20 dollars the bottles that don't leak (at least not so far) are worth half of that easy , actually the ultra lube sells for 11 dollars a bottle by itself in a only slightly larger size. the other use is eventually semi auto 22s jam up and won't extract the round if run long enough it works fine as a clearing rod to knock the round out of the chamber then clean and your good for hundreds more rounds

This is an excellent kit. The rods are rock solid and all the attachments are brass, not plastic, so the kit will provide years of service.

This package is well-designed and anything but flimsy. I replaced an older aluminum cleaning rod with the Gunslick rod. Very nice carry kit for your AR-15s and will easily fit into your rifle case.

Just finished cleaning an AR-15, a Ruger Single Six .22 magnum, a Ruger 10/22 and a very, very old Winchester .22 bolt action.
Works great!
Just need to refill solvent, oil and patches.
I read an earlier review entitled " Flimsy" and I do not agree, at all!
Cleaning rods are designed to clean, hence "cleaning rods".
Cleaning rods are not "ram rods".
FYI: I handle spent jammed shells with an appropriate diameter hard maple dowel.

Got this rod and it had bent very early into use. I had a spent shell jammed in my chamber and the rod bent and broke. Great price comes with goo brushes and cleaning liquids. the rod is just cheaply made and easily broken.
