Customer Reviews
- Watch out for tight fit in match barrels Review by bo rat

I bought this SSA belt ammo as a low price way to get some quality plinking ammo without worrying too much about being super accurate. PITA to delink but all rounds looked good and all fired. The issue I had with my match grade Armalite AR-10 barrel and throat is that after heating up the barrel the SSA brass would get stuck in my barrel and have to be rammed out with a cleaning rod. Gold Metal and Hornady had no problem. After getting home and cleaning gun I did a quick experiment. The Gold Metal and Hornady rounds slide easily into and out of my barrel throat but the SSA belt ammo would not chamber all the way in via gravity and would not drop out by gravity. So this was my problem - slightly wider brass. The ammo shoots fine in my M1A and my brothers DMPS .308 but be careful feeding this to high tolerance barrels!
