Details
A traditional full metal jacket projectile has lead at its base and when the round is fired some lead can enter the air. This fully encapsulated bullet has copper surrounding the entire projectile including its base making this round suitable for more strict indoor range requirements.
Each reloadable round boasts a brass casing, fully encapsulated bullet, boxer primer, and non-corrosive propellant.

Video Transcript:
The Brazilian ammo company Magtech has been around for over 80 years. Their parent company, CBC, is the largest provider of military ammunition in all of Latin America. They also own the popular European ammo company S&B. Magtech is known around the world for their quality in a variety of ammo calibers, and the one we're looking at now is part of their CleanRange line. We shot a couple of boxes of the CleanRange ammo in 45 ACP. On the outside, it looks like a normal, brass cased, full metal jacket load, but there are a couple of features that set it apart. The non-corrosive primers used in CleanRange ammo are lead free and don't release any harmful substances into the air when fired. The 230 grain bullets are lead core, but employ a copper full metal jacket that encases the entire bullet, rather than leaving the base exposed like most FMJ bullets. Magtech's name for this is FEB, or fully encapsulated bullet. This combination of features makes Magtech's CleanRange ammo ideal for shooting in large volume on indoor ranges where you really want to keep airborne toxins to a minimum. Of course, CleanRange ammo works just as well outside and functions the same as any normal practice load. We tested it in six different handguns for reliability and performance and didn't have any problems. Each gun cycled the ammo perfectly, and the moderate recoil was on par with most other common practice loads of this caliber. We used a Springfield XDM to test accuracy from the bench at 15 yards. We got a nice 10 shot group with one ragged hole right at the point of aim, and a single flyer just to the left. For shooting on indoor ranges, especially in large volume, ammo like Magtech CleanRange is ideal, and will ensure you get the most out of your shooting experience with minimal health risk.
