I have been range firing for years, using various methods of ear protection over 20 years. In that time I have used ear plugs only, ear plugs and earmuffs, a combination of 1 ear plug and earmuff or just the earmuff. When I bought this earmuff I was shocked to find out that my ears RANG FOR A FULL DAY after only firing 60 rounds of .223 and about 400 rounds of 22LR (arguably the quietest round). In fact, my ears hurt me so bad the next day I thought it might be permanent, but it did subside and go away. The noise cancelling does nothing and is a waste of time, batteries and money. They don't really turn off too easily and about the only guarantee is to remove the batteries after each range session. I would score these an "F" if they allowed it. You get what you pay for but 25DB protection is not enough - but this feels like 12DB protection. I had more protection from my ear plugs alone than this brand. TERRIBLE. They look the part, fit okay, but do not waste your money or risk your hearing. (Posted on 3/10/13)Quality Performance Value - satisfied with all aspects of the earmuffs Review by Stephen A.

I recived the muffs and couldn't wait to try them, amazingly fast on sound suppression. you can hear just fine at normal speech decibals, very nice looking also very comfortable to wear. this was a short term workout for the muffs but I am completely satisfied with the product If my feelings change after an extensive workout I will update my review (Posted on 12/12/12)Performance Value Quality - Perfect for my purpose Review by Dick

I ordered and received two sets. I opened one package and inserted batteries so I could check it out. It seemed to work as advertised but I will not be using them until next summer. I am very pleased with the way it worked and I look forward to using them next summer when I start to plractice with my weapon. The second set is for use by a guest. I tried these and they worked great! Have you fired your gun and reminded yourself that you did not have your hearing protection on? Because you had to take it off to talk. You can talk and shoot and just leave these on your ears, no problem. Get these! (Posted on 6/29/12)Quality Performance Value - Good gift! Review by Mar
