The Gunslick AR-15 cleaning kit has everything you need to take care of the bore of your favorite black rifle chambered in 223 or 5.56 NATO.

It includes a 1.25 ounce bottle of solvent, 1.25 ounces of lubricant, a three piece cleaning rod, bronze bore brush, bronze and steel chamber brush, a slotted cleaning tip, a bore mop, and a bag of cotton patches. It all packs up nicely in this portable nylon bag that makes it easy to take the kit with you anywhere.

The solvent works well for cleaning out copper or lead fouling and powder residue. I found it to be an effective cleaner, and it has a mild soapy odor that won't overpower your work area or leave your hands with a chemical smell. The lubricant is easy to apply and is mostly odorless as well.

The chamber brush attaches directly to the handle segment of the cleaning rod. The bronze section cleans the chamber area while the stainless steel bristles loosen fouling in the hard to reach locking lug area. The other two segments of the cleaning rod join with the handle in order to clean and oil the barrel from the breach and out through the muzzle.

For more careful and thorough cleaning of your rifle there are other cleaning accessories out there, like single piece cleaning rods and rod guides. But for a small field kit that you can take with you in your range bag, the Gunslick AR-15 covers all the basics.
