Without a permit, any person over the age of 21 may carry a concealed pistol without a permit. This does not carry over into the following locations: Courthouses, schoolyards, bars, and domestic violence shelters. As far as reciprocity goes with other U.S. states, a permit may be requested and shall be issued by the Alaska Department of Safety.
