A: Thanks for reaching out Roger! The 7.63x25mm Mauser (aka 30 Mauser Automatic) cartridge has a .309" diameter bullet, usually about 85 grains in weight with a round nose profile. I'm not sure of the 30 Mauser's exact bullet length, but I am certain you'd be very disappointed if you tried loading significantly longer 168 grain 308 Win bullets for the 30 Mauser. It's my understanding that Hornady's .312" diameter 85 grain XTP (SKU# 32050) is a popular choice for loading 30 Mauser, although a narrower .311" diameter should also produce fine accuracy as well. I regret that I'm not thoroughly well-versed on reloading this unusual cartridge, so my advice to you sadly ends there. I expect that contacting a good component bullet manufacturer like Hornady, Sierra or Barnes directly would yield greater fruit!
