- QUALITY, CONSISTANCY & VALUE Review by LONG RIFLE, BLU FOX 1

THE PRODUCT I PURCHASED WAS IN GOOD STANDING WHEN IT ARRIVED MY HOME IN WASH. STATE. THE CARTRIDGES THEM SELF WERE CLEAN, SIZED, AND THE BULLET SEATING WAS CONSISTANT IN DEPTH FROM ROUND TO ROUND, EACH OF WHICH I INSPECTED DURING THE LOADING OF MY 30 ROUND MAGAZINES. THE POWDER LOADS IN EACH CASING SEEMED CONSISTANT WITH A GOOD QUALITY MANUFACTURED BOX OF AMMUNITION. I HAD CONSISTANT VELOCITIES, AND GROUPING AT 100, 250, AND 500 YRDS TARGETS... i DID NOTICE THE GROUPS WERE NOT AS TIGHT AS MATCH GRADE AT THE LONGER RANGE, AND THE MINUTE OF ANGEL WAS MORE NOTICABLE w/ UPHILL / DOWNHILL SHOOTING. OVERALL, A GOOD BUY - AS A FOOT NOTE, THE ROUNDS CHAMBERED SMOOTHLY, AND SPENT CARTRIDGES EJECTED CLEANLY AND SHOWED NO REAL SWEELING AROUND THE BASE WHICH IS NORMALLY SEEN IN RE-MANUFACTURED AMMO AND PREVIOUSLY FIRED CASINGS - I DID NOTE A GRADUAL BUILD UP OF CARBON DEPOSITS ON THE BOLT CARRIER GROUP, GAS TUBE, AND BOLT FACE. CLEANING THE FIREARM AFTER EXTENDED PERIODS OF SHOOTING AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER COMPLETION OF ANY TARGET PRACTICES IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IN MY OPINION. IN GENERAL: A VERY NICE TARGET / VARMINT ROUND WITH GOOD STATISTICS AND RELIABILITY, VERY REASONABLE PRICE, AND DECENT QUALITY MATERIALS.Performance Value Quality

I have to admit that I only bought this because it was the cheapest .223 I could find. I used it for some plinking over the July 4th weekend. I didn't really worry much about accuracy. We just shot up a bunch of cans at pretty close range.Performance Value Quality
We shot over 500 rounds with various rifles and there were no misfires. It is dirty though. (Posted on 7/11/10)
