No one likes leaving plastic all over the ground at their favorite hunting spot, but sadly it is typically unavoidable. Even if you’re lucky and able to pick up all of your spent hulls, you’d need psychic powers to figure out where each of your wads wound up.

But when you hunt with BioAmmo’s shotgun shells, you needn’t worry about plastic at all! This ammo’s tubes and wads are made of pure biopolymer, a substitute for plastic which possesses all of its strength but which is also 100% vegetable based.

If you leave either of this shell’s biopolymer components on the ground (or even underwater), it will take microorganisms no longer than two years to convert them into water, mineral salts and carbon dioxide gas. The process is clean and odorless, and even the hulls’ alloy heads will gradually oxidize until they disappear!

Environmentally friendly aspects aside, this is a fine shotshell. Its hard and round #5 lead shot pellets establish a tight pattern and are sized perfectly for pheasant. Its wad has a compression zone in its base to lessen felt recoil, and its wide side vents ensure immediate separation from the shot column via the extension of multiple air brake petals.

BioAmmo shotshells can be stored in normal conditions for at least five years.
