This shell is loaded with #7.5 shot, a popular choice for target shooting but also extremely well-equipped for grounding smaller birds. Winchester optimizes this shell’s shot for upland game hunting in a couple important ways. First, they load an extra 1/8 ounces of it to bring this shell’s total pellet count to around 438 pellets. So many shot pellets fly in a very dense cluster, yet they’ll still avert maiming your trophy beyond recognition. Second, this shot is copper plated. Winchester’s lead is already hard to prevent accuracy-weakening deformation during ignition, but with the added rigidity of copper you can look forward to some of the most consistent patterns out of your shotgun to date.
Winchester’s stout plastic hulls, high density wads, low residue powder, and fast to react primers will all deliver the goods whenever a pigeon finally presents itself. A worthy selection for hunting other pigeon-sized birds as well!
