Forget about lead and copper. D Dupleks’ 12 Gauge slug is made of real steel, baby, and because its terminal effect is about what you’d expect from a rocket-powered hammer it is excellent for hunting large and dangerous game. And while this slug would almost certainly pass clean through a human-sized threat, at least you wouldn’t have to worry about the threat they posed any longer.

This shell’s one ounce slug is made of solid steel. It’s nontoxic for compliance while hunting in certain jurisdictions, it’s stable in flight on the count of its waisted body profile, and it possesses sharp edges so that it may cut a neat swath through heavy brush and dense flesh in a single stroke. Loaded to a muzzle velocity of 1,460 fps, this slug also flies flat until its level ogive transfers a silly amount of energy on impact.

A Steelhead slug doesn’t scrape up the rifled or smooth bore it passes through. Its polyethylene bearing surfaces at the front and back work well to reduce barrel friction, so you can expect neither lead nor plastic fouling. The polyethylene is also supple enough to enable this slug to pass safely through all choke sizes.

D Dupleks is based in Latvia, a country we know nothing about save for the fact that D Dupleks is based there.
