TOPAS stands for “top accuracy and speed.” That’s not exactly how an acronym is supposed to work, but we’ll forgive Brenneke for taking a little creative license with this 12 Gauge sabot slug’s name – because it delivers exactly what it promises!

Brenneke developed this shell for hunters who prefer a shotgun or who have to make due with one because of some law. This shell’s blue plastic sabot features an integrated wad that pushes its 309 grain slug cleanly down the barrel. (If 309 grains seems like an arbitrary weight, just know that it makes a lot more sense at 20 grams.) The slug reaches a crazy fast 1,673 fps muzzle velocity, which coupled with its streamlined profile and evenly distributed weight conveys a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.102. The slug carries a dominating four-digit foot-pound force all the way up to 75 yards!

Try this slug out at the range and you won’t be dissatisfied – it groups at 2” at 40 yards (assuming you’re a good shot, of course). And thanks to Brenneke’s consistent production protocol and high quality components you won’t have to worry about your hunt going haywire because of your ammo!

Please note: Sabot slugs are designed for rifled bore shotguns, not smoothbore. A smoothbore will not correctly stabilize a sabot slug, leading to atrocious accuracy and keyholing.
