Panzer, of course, is a Turkish shotgun manufacturer. But they didn’t make this ammo. That distinction belongs to Rio, which fashioned these powerful things at their factory Galdácano, Spain.
Panzer didn’t take a backseat in this shell’s design, though. They specifically instructed its optimization for semi-automatic shotguns – hence its robust 3-3/4 dram equivalent, which means it has the juice needed to reliably operate a self-loader.
All of that juice spells a bad time for anything that finds itself on the receiving end of this shell, too. Nine pieces of 00 buck plus a white-hot 1,350 fps muzzle velocity equals copious energy delivery, as well as the deep penetration which really underscores whichever point the shooter is trying to make.
This ammo’s high steel heads and fluted black plastic hulls are both rugged enough to withstand so much pressure and cycle dependably. Can’t argue that the silver-on-black aesthetic doesn’t look neat, either!
