By “almost,” we are excluding home defense and hunting anything larger than small game. This shell’s #7.5 shot is too small for those pursuits. Its respectable 1,250 fps muzzle velocity and 306 pieces of lead do excellent jobs of smashing clays and snapping out rabbit, dove, quail, and several other huntable critters, however, so you’ll still find plenty of use for it.
Rio manufactures this ammo at their own factory in Marshall, Texas. They are a Spanish company, albeit one with a heck of a pedigree. Rio was founded by the inventor of dynamite itself, and continues manufacturing high-grade explosives to this day. All of that’s to say that Rio’s primers and powder ought not disappoint.
